Botanical Gardens, Soller - See Map

Right in the heart of Soller you can find these wonderful botanical gardens with their rich collections of plants.
The gardens were founded in 1985 and opened to the public in 1992 as a centre for the conservation, study and understanding of Mediterranean flora, and specifically that of the Balearic Islands.
Currently the gardens have 942 different species of plantlife with a total of over 5.650 plants; so approximately every 10 m2 there is, at least, one different species.
Tours of the gardens are undertaken on a regular basis, or just wander around by yourself and soak up the peace and quiet. Excursions are also made into the surrounding countryside to teach people about the indiginous plantlife and you can find out more about these on their website.
Entrance fee is around 5 euros but it is cheaper if you are in a group of 12 or more. Children upto 12 get in free.
