Can Curt Beach - See Map
South - Ses Salines, Mallorca
This wild coastal area of the southern end of Majorca is characterized by a landscape which is very eroded by wind and sea. The coast is generally no higher than 2mtrs.
This is why you’ll find this attractive white beach backed by sand dunes. Interestingly these dunes are officially labled as fossils and on the top you can often see tracks of the Myotragus balearicus, a sort of goat, now extinct.
The sea is clear and calm here and the coast is sprinkled with rock pools which are great to explore for local sea life.
Psst! Fascinatingly these goats where trapped on the Balearic Islands five million years ago because of the rising of the Mediterranean Sea. The absence of predators meant over time they got smaller and developed enormous incisors.
