Cala Millor Resort, Spain

This large resort has one of the most spectacular beaches on the island and it’s just fab for watersports. Amazingly long with soft golden sand it’s backed by a promenade that runs the length of the resort eventually bringing you to the smaller resort of Cala Bona.

Along the length of this cosmopolitan resort are a great selection of restaurants, hotels, shops and bars, so you’ll never be spoiled for choice! It’s quite an energetic resort so a better choice for families holidaying with teenagers as there’s more to do than in neighbouring resorts. If you want to get out and about and explore the island then Cala Millor provides the perfect base for discovering the east side of Majorca.

Beach babes will be in 7th heaven on the wonderful soft golden sand. It’s a popular beach for body-surfing on windy days when the white breakers roll in and crash against the shore...absolutely spectacular! There’s more than enough space for everyone and good facilities exist along its length; sun beds, parasols, a wealth of water sports and cafes and bars within easy reach.
Awarded the Blue Flag.

Cala Millor is lively resort but definitely not raucous. Restaurants are plentiful and of good quality. You'll find theres a fine choice of music bars but also quieter bars and those catering for families. A small number of clubs are open until the early hours.

Who Goes There:

Always popular with German visitors it’s now enjoyed by British holidaymakers too; families, groups of friends and couples looking for a beach holiday with livelier nightlife.

Larger hotels, mainly 3* & 4* are found here, though there are a small number of apartments and private rentals.

What to do:

  • Boat trips from the harbour to nearby resorts and beaches
  • Walk into Cala Bona and visit one of the fish restaurants at the marina.
  • Auto Safari Zoo (courtesy buses leave form the resort)
  • Caves del Drach at nearby Porto Cristo
  • Manacor – the main town of the area and the centre of the ‘pearl’ industry

July 16th -  Virgen del Carmen, the patron saint of all seamen. There’s a special Mass, torchlight boat procession and various concerts in the harbour

Psst! In the final 5 days of October a hot air balloon regatta takes place in Cala Millor with balloonists from all over the world – can you believe that! More info on this delightful spectacle can be found on the official website: What a great time to visit the resort!
