This resort gives exactly what it says on the tin! Calas de Mallorca is a purpose built resort that is clustered around three sandy coves (or ‘calas’) suggested in the name. All are family friendly, beautifully pristine and lapped by azure waters.

A very pretty rugged path links the beaches and gives holidaymakers a chance to revel in the fantastic coastline views.
Families are well catered for with several attractions within the resort and the ‘Centro Commercial’ in the centre of the resort is packed with shops, bars and restaurants making it the easy choice for a fun night out.

Beach:

Three decent sized beaches are on offer here and if you don’t fancy the coastland walk hop on and off the Calas Express ‘road train’ as you explore. All the beaches have good facilities and each has its own personality so we’re sure you’ll find your own favourite. The rocky coves dotted between each beach are great for snorkelling.

Nightlife:

Centred mainly in the ‘Centro Commercial’ where you’ll find a healthy selection of shops, lively bars and restaurants. Live entertainment is a popular offering and the kids have their own safe play areas and funfair – guaranteeing that they’ll be more than happy...and worn out! The restaurants are good value and there’s more than enough choice of cuisines.

Who goes there:

Families and older couples...but there is a disco in the resort that should keep the teenagers happy!

Accommodation:

Both hotels and apartments are available that will fit most budgets.

What to do:

  • Take the kids for a day trip to the small zoo where they can engage with the animals.
  • Visit the bird sanctuary on the outskirts of the resort.
  • Hire a car and visit some of the natural hidden beaches to be found along this coast (see out beach section) it would be a shame to miss them.
  • Enjoy a boat trip (or catch the bus) to the wonderful Caves del Drach in the port of Porto Cristo. Make sure you take time to explore the aquarium next door and also the town.

Psst! There’s a popular Sunday market at near by Felantix...full of atmosphere it’s a definite must do!
