El Arenal Beach - See Map
South West - Llucmajor, Mallorca
El Arenal is also known by the name S'Arenal and is the last resort on a long stretch of of golden sand that starts at C'an Pastilla.
In summer, the beach is packed with thousands of tourists (mostly German) in addition to the Majorcans who live in the second homes that have been built over the past 30 years. Even though it's a popular beach it doesn't detract from its beauty.
Backed by a promenade it's easy to travel the length of the beach and onto the the resorts on either side (Playa d'en Palma and C'an Pastilla) should you want to explore.
Sunsets are spectacular here and a fabulous free event courtesy of Mother Nature...take the time to sit down on the sand with a beer and enjoy!
Psst! Along the length of the beach you'll find a number of kiosko bars all with an individual number...why not start at No 1 and see if you can make it to the last one!
