Arenal de sa Canova - See Map
East - can'n picafort, Mallorca
This fabulously long sandy beach is about 13 kms from Can Picafort and sits in an area of national interest meaning it is completely virgin territory.
The golden sand is fine-grained and scattered with shells and occasional rocky outcrops here and there. It slopes gently to the pristine waters which are safe for bathing.
There are a large number archaeological sites in the area and plenty of flora and fauna that is indicative of the island. Add to this the nearby wetlands which is home to the largest concentration of marine birds in the Balearics and you can see what a special place this is. Visit it if you can.
Facilities: none
Anchoring: Difficult due to limited depth
How to get there: Keep watch for the signs (some are difficult to spot particularly along the forest road leading to the free parking area)
Access: By foot. 5mins from the parking area
