Ses Covetes - See Map
South - Campos, Mallorca
The small beach of ses Covetes is located between those of es Trenc and sa Rapita. It's 300 metres long and 40 wide with fine white sand and crystal waters.
The name ‘ses covetes’ comes from the little caves that used to dot the rocky coast here. Sadly they no longer exist as they were destroyed when used as a quarry for stones needed for the defence walls of Palma.
Close by you can find a thermal spring (38 degrees) loved by the Romans and a controversial development of a residential ‘village’ that was halted following protests that this was a protected area of natural beauty.
It’s a quiet beach and even in high season there is space to stretch out which is a plus considering it's easy to reach by bus from Campos.
Facilities: None
Anchoring: Good but exposed. Close to the Nautical Club at Sa Rapita
How to get there: by car following the signs, park in the surrounding area, and by bus from Campos.
Access: by paths through the scrubland. No disabled access
