Set above a cliff giving stunning views over the port...could it get any better? Yes it can; fabulous food, excellent service and all in a picturesque setting
The approach to this place is idyllic; turn off the road to Portals Nous by the supermarket and the road winds down towards the restaurant offering superb views. You'll find it nestled next to a picturesque church which is popular for weddings, the party then moving on to the restaurant for the celebrations.
Find a seat on the terrace bedecked by bouganvillea and gaze out over the med beyond whilst enjoying an aperitif - perfect! Peruse the menu and choose from hot or cold starters (our favourite is the duck salad with wild mushrooms and cranberry sauce) whilst for the main course there's always a choice of fish or meat. The deserts, if you can manage one, are sublime.
Those in the know head over to Port 'alt for lunch when a 'menu del dia' is served for around 15 euros...excellent value!
