Cala Torta - See Map
North - Artà, Mallorca
The sea at Cala Torta is a stunning combination of various hues of blue; from azure blue through turquoise to emerald green.
No wonder it’s a favourite spot for divers, it’s just like the Caribbean! At around 10 kms from Artà it is the largest beach of this municipality and easily one of the more picturesque with its glistening white sands and rolling sand dunes.
It can get pretty wild in the cooler months when winds whip up from the sea so the surrounding land has an exposed look about it,
Facilities: none although in high season there is often a small kiosko selling drinks.
Anchoring: Excellent in good weather. However in stormy or windy conditions it isn’t recommended.
How to get there: by car is easy following the signs on a sinuous, steep and badly maintained road (unless it’s recently been resurfaced!)
Access: by foot from where you park the car or from Cala Mesquida. If you love to cycle then get there by bike from Capdepera...22kms if you’re feeling fit! Note: in Cala Mesquida you have to take a mountain track identified by red points, it’s located next to a souvenir shop.
